Petrol shortages & driving rain did not stop the celebrations at Noahs Ark
Over forty tourism businesses, sponsors and supporters of the Bristol Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards braved the weather last week to attend a celebration hosted by Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm.
Unlike previous years an awards ceremony was not possible for the 2020/21 winners from across Bristol Bath and Somerset so it was held online. Awards organiser Nell Barrington said “we really wanted to be able to congratulate the businesses in person after such an awful 18 months and when Noah’s Ark offered to host us we jumped at the chance. Never before has there been an awards event where elephants, capybaras and a baby zebras were involved. There was amazing food and supporters Bradleys and Hullabaloos kindly donated yummie drinks. Despite the weather, petrol crisis and everything else the evening was a real a celebration. Rhian McIntosh, Customer Experience and Events Coordinator, Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm said “It was absolutely fantastic to be able to host a real celebration of the Bristol Bath and Somerset tourism awards! We are so proud to have won 3 awards and to be a part of such a fantastic network of amazing tourism businesses in this area who are always striving to improve. Our catering team did an incredible job showing off our farm shop suppliers and we hope everyone enjoyed the food as much as we did. It was great to see everyone and celebrate in person rather than on Zoom! Thank you to all who joined us, despite the weather, and to Nell for organising such a great occasion.”
